Want to be a zookeeper? Try it out at Montreal’s Ecomuseum
On Nov. 19, the Montreal Ecomuseum is offering a Zookeeper for a Day event for children aged seven to 12-years-old.
It takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Children will be able to prepare food and interact with different animals.
One of the things zookeepers do is challenge the animals to get to their food, so they don’t lose their natural, hunting instincts.

My little friend the possum at the @zooecomuseum ! @global_montreal was live for their "Zookeeper for the day" activities! Check them out, they are open year round!
The zoo is also offering a family version of the Zookeeper for a Day program on Dec. 3.
“There is no minimum age requirement for that one,” said Elizabeth Landry, Ecomuseum zoologist.
“It’s a wonderful family activity to do altogether.”
